Karen Stemler Rader

75, Brownsburg, passed away on April 29, 2024.  She was a nurse for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, early in her career.  Karen and her husband Richard loved the Southwest so much, they moved to Arizona, where she served as a spiritual life coach and hospice caregiver.  She especially enjoyed officiating over many weddings, and was pleased to serve as a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner at the Center for Spiritual Living in Prescott, Arizona, a community she and Richard both adored.  Karen was proud to have authored the children's book, Gracer Finds a Home, in which she shared her wisdom with young and old alike.  Karen's caring and compassionate ways touched the lives of many around the world.  Karen was preceded in death by her husband Richard Rader Sr.; parents William and Marcia Stemler; sister Kay Rueff; brothers Kenny Stemler and Richard Stemler.  Survivors include her brothers Kerry (Debbie) Stemler, David (Sara) Stemler, Scott (Erica) Stemler; step son Richard (Andrea) Rader Jr.; step daughter Julie Rader; grandchildren Meghan (Michael) McCall, Katie (Patrick) Hurley, Colleen (Patrick) Ray, Mollie Rader; great grandchildren Addison Rader, Ronan McCall, Willa Ray, Kasen Ray, Mia Hurley; nieces Amanda (Gary) Kinnaird, Erin (Dave) Brack, Abbey Stemler, Mandy (Shayne) Stock,  Jillian Stemler; nephew Evan Stemler; great nephews Dayna Kinnaird (Amber), Barrett (Marley) Archibald, Ayden Brack; great nieces Emery Archibald,  Ashlynn Brack; great great niece Kay Kinnaird.  Donations may be made to Riley Children's Foundation at www.rileykids.org or your local Humane Society.  Private services will be held.
