Kathryn Brenda McDonald

79, of Brownsburg, passed away on July 28th, 2026. Kathryn, better known as Brenda, was born in Washington, Indiana to her parents Earl Joseph and Doris (Chestnut) Colvin on October 24th, 1946. After her early education, Brenda dedicated her life to raising her three children along with her beloved husband George McDonald. She and her family were attending members of Parkside Bible Church (formerly Bethesda Baptist) since 1965. Brenda was also known as a master gardener, and above all, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband George McDonald, as well as her parents Earl and Doris Colvin. Brenda is survived by her children Kim (Jeff) Owens, Darrell (Sherry) McDonald, and Mark (Jennifer) McDonald; brother Alan (Brenda) Colvin; sister Mary Alice (Jim) McDonald; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg on Friday, July 31st from 11 am to 1 pm, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. Brenda will then be laid to rest next to her husband in Bethesda Cemetery.
