Keith Allan Monnett, 88, of Greencastle passed away at home on September 3rd. He was the son of Clifford H. and Dorothy (Stewart) Monnett.

Keith was a 1955 graduate of Greencastle High School, Indiana Business College, and Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking. He also held an Indiana Real Estate and Brokers License.

He started his banking career at Central National Bank, later known as National City Bank. Upon retirement, he spent the winters in Florida enjoying baseball and family. Keith was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Keith was a member of the Greencastle Elks 1077, American Legion Post 58, Masonic Lodge 47, Murat Shrine, Scottish Rite, Kiwanis, and IU Varsity Club. He served as a city councilor for Greencastle. Keith served in the U.S. Air Force during the Berlin crisis.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Sarah (David) Taylor, Cameron (Katie), Adam, Evan; his son Gregory (Dina) Monnett, Corbin (Myranda), Carly (Logan); his son Phillip (Marta), Jamie (Andrew), Nathan (Haley), Max, and Kate Williams; his great-grandchildren, Jackson, Jacen, and Dawson; his companion, Mary Jane Monnett; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Putnam County Museum. Matthews Mortuary Brownsburg is handling arrangements.
