Kyle David McCain
September 6, 1986 - May 20, 2017
Kyle McCain, 30, passed away on May 20, 2017 at Lake Cumberland, Kentucky during a boating accident. He was with friends at the time. Kyle was born September 6, 1986 to Scott and Charlotte McCain. He graduated from Indiana State University in 2013 where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. During his career, Kyle served as director of the USAC Quarter Midget Circuit before working as a sales representative at the Unifirst Corp. Kyle is survived by his parents; brother Travis McCain; grandmother Mary Lou Covington; grandparents Morris and Marjorie McCain; aunt Debra Covington; aunt Angie (Randy) Griggs; uncle Ron (Sandy) Covington; uncle Randy McCain; and his close friends Ryan Hovermale, James Michael and Adam Venus, among many others. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Cecil Covington. Visitation will be 2-5pm on Sunday, June 4th at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. Funeral services will begin at Matthews the following day at 11am, followed by burial in Kyle's hometown of Lizton at the K of P Cemetery. Accommodations can be found at the Comfort Suites in Brownsburg. USAC will be hosting a memorial race in Kyle's honor at the Brickyard from July 7-9th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a memorial donation to an organization that Kyle cared for deeply, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
