Larry Lee Utterback

81, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on May 26th, 2026. Larry was born in Akron, OH to his parents Lester and Helen (Caplinger) Utterback on August 9th, 1944. Larry graduated in 1962 from Pike High School where he was a wrestler and cross country runner. His love of painting, antique tractors, cars and trucks was exceeded only by his love of family. Larry was very patriotic and loved his country. During his professional career, Larry worked as a dedicated training specialist for Ransburg Electrostatic Coating Corporation for 45 years, retiring in 2015. He was also a member of Bethesda Baptist Church, as well as the National Fire Protection Association.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife of 61 years, Sue Ann Utterback, whom he met in first grade and married in 1963. He is survived by his children Jeff (Stacey) Utterback and Jennifer (Brian) Matherly; sister Carol Ann Freeman; cherished grandchildren Jack Utterback, Evan (Maleigh) Utterback, Emily John, Eddie John, Macie (Norm) Richey, Corre Matherly, Carra Matherly, Colby Matherly and Zane Matherly.

Visitation will be held from 10 am to 12 noon on Friday, May 29th at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 12 noon. Larry will then be laid to rest in Old Union Cemetery, Jamestown.
