Lawrence J. Farley

94, Pittsboro, passed away peacefully on Nov. 13, 2025.  Lawrence was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Pressman Union.  He was an US Army veteran serving in the Korean War.  Lawrence operated the press for the Indianapolis Star for over 30 years retiring in 1993.  He was an avid golfer who scored an 84 when he was 84 years old.  Lawrence was preceded in death by his daughter Sharon Tharp; parents John and Mary Farley; daughter-in-law Suzie Farley.  Survivors include his loving wife Cathryn Farley; children Lawrence Joseph Farley Jr., Karen (Tony) Tinkler, Bruce (Linda) Farley; brother Patrick (Roxie) Farley; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 11 am to 12 pm Wed. Nov. 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 pm.  Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery West, Pittsboro.  Contributions may be made to The Gathering Together, 6446 S.
