Leroy C. George
92, Brownsburg, passed away February 14, 2021. He had been a turbine technician for General Electric, retiring in 1993. He was a US Army veteran serving from 1952-54. Leroy was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Brownsburg American Legion, and loved bingo, fishing and all sports. He was the biggest fan of the Brownsburg High School girls' varsity soccer team. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mae George and daughter-in-law Trisha George. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he was survived by his wife Mildred George; children Pamela George, Bruce George, Brian (Suzanne) George and Paula (Jeff) Novak; sisters Rosemary Wilson and Ellen Younger; grandchildren Amber, Brittani, Joshua, Bradley, Brian, Cole, Avery, Seth, Jami and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Friday February 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon. In compliance with current regulations and restrictions, guests are required to wear masks and observe social distancing.
