Lilly Maude Wilson
94, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2026. Lilly was born on April 16, 1932 to Cloyd and Lilly (Brown) Correll in Stoy, Illinois. She was the youngest of 10 children.
Lilly married her husband, John P. Wilson, on June 20, 1949. In 1951, they moved to Dundas, Illinois where they raised their four daughters and worked side-by-side on the farm they built together.
Lilly earned her GED in 1965 and held various jobs outside of farming, including at Ruge’s fashion shop, a hospital and a shoe factory. On the weekends, Lilly served as a Sunday school teacher at church.
In 1998, Lilly and John retired from farming and moved to Robinson, Illinois. Lilly loved hosting friends and family there, and always ensured her guests left with a bag of Heath toffee from the factory down the road.
In 2007, Lilly and John moved to Indiana to be closer to their daughters. John passed away in 2012, and Lilly spent the rest of her life with family, friends, and her dog, Billy. She was a dedicated member of Cornerstone Christian Church in Brownsburg.
Lilly was a hard worker but always found time to enjoy life. She would often sing hymns around the house and enjoyed reading, testing out new recipes and making beautiful quilts, blankets and other crafts. She loved shopping and had a knack for finding a good deal.
Lilly served as a confidant, mentor and source of encouragement to those around her. She lived out her faith by always leading with compassion, loving people for who they were, and never hesitating to lend a helping hand.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Milton) Albright, Donna Wright, Janet Sue Marks, and Pamela (Robert) Finley; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and six sisters, and her beloved husband.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24 from 2 - 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church, 8930 IN-267, Brownsburg, IN 46112, with funeral services to follow at 4 p.m. Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana.
