Linda (Morale) Broderick, 82, Brownsburg, died early Saturday morning of a prolonged struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Born Ermelinda Morale in Rome, Italy on October 3, 1928, she met her American soldier hero Tech 5 Martin William (Bill) Broderick, whom she married and returned with to Indianapolis. In pursuit of their American dream, she gained her citizenship and they established a lifetime residency in Brownsburg where they raised 7 children. In addition to bringing up her own children, Linda nurtured many generations of Brownsburg's youth at her daycare for over 30 years. Linda is survived by her 7 children Patty Sipple, Harry, Bob, Ellen McCauley, Marty, Bianca Day, Tony; 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill and grandson Matthew Broderick. Family and friends will gather for visitation from 5-7pm Tues., April 26 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Funeral services officiated by Fr. Joe Feltz, will be 10am Wed., April 27 at St. Malachy Church. Interment will follow at St. Malachy Cemetery.
