Linda Kay Szewc

77, Brownsburg, passed away May 6, 2021.  She had been a business teacher at Tri West High School for 26 years, retiring in 2004.  Linda also served as cheerleading sponsor and for many years was the Business Professionals of America advisor.  A proud graduate of North Salem High School, she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Butler University.  She was a member and volunteer at Connection Pointe Christian Church, member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority and the Hendricks Co. Retired Teachers Association.  Linda loved spending time with grandchildren, traveling and eating at different restaurants.  She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Mary Brownlee and an infant brother Larry Brownlee.  Survivors include her husband Robert Szewc; children R. Todd Szewc (wife Megan) and Tara Sheringer (husband John); niece Kim Hodges (husband Jim); grandchildren Julia Sheringer and Nicholas, Alex and Nora Szewc; other nieces and nephews Kelly Hassler (husband Ed), Kris Renner, Curt Bailey and Clint Bailey (wife Chris). Visitation will be from 4-7pm Monday May 10 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Tuesday May 11.  Burial will follow at Lizton K of P Cemetery.  Due to current health concerns, it is recommended that guests wear masks and observe social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Tri West Dollars for Scholars, North West Hendricks School Corp., P.O.
