Linda A. Weddell
was born on November 21, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to Gilbert and Anna Everett. She has a brother Gilbert Everett (wife Pat). They moved to Indianapolis in 1950. Linda was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School where she was a majorette and graduated with honors. She then went on to Purdue University and earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. She married Charles Weddell in 1971. They had two children-Michael Weddell and Allison (Jim) Noland. Linda had two granddaughters-Mackenzie Ann Noland and Aubrey Marye Noland. Linda was a Speech Pathologist in Brownsburg Community School Corporation from 1988 to 2007. She was a 2004 Brownsburg Teacher of the Year as well as a 2004 Semi-finalist Indiana Teacher of the year. Her greatest accomplishments were helping children who struggled with communication skills, a long marriage to a wonderful man, having two incredibly good children and awesome granddaughters who made life worth living! Linda was an avid Purdue Sports fan (Boiler up!) and a member of the Purdue Alumni Association. She enjoyed traveling and took great pride in knowing that she had visited all 50 states and several foreign countries. She also walked in 6 Indy 500 mini-marathons and completed them. Church activities were important to Linda and she was part of Calvary United Methodist Church since 1973-while there she also became a Stephen Minister. Linda enjoyed gardening and became a Hendricks County Master Gardner. Linda was also a member of the Central Indiana Buick Club and loved going to weekly car shows. Lastly, she loved supporting her granddaughters in everything they did! Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Sat. Jan. 29 at Calvary United Methodist Church, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 12 pm. Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
