Linda C. Wurtz, 68, Brownsburg, passed away on April 2, 2017. She was a member and head deacon of Pittsboro Christian Church and was head of the Food Pantry there. She worked as a Health Claims Examiner for Conseco and Anthem Blue Cross. Linda was a Girl Scout Leader and the head uniform mother for the Brownsburg High School Marching Band for 7 years. Survivors include her husband Ted Wurtz; son, Donald (Kim) Wurtz; daughter Melitta (Ty) Robbins; grandchildren Benjamin Wurtz, Austin and Ayden Robbins; sisters Susan Stock, Barbara Crowe, Donna Spellman, and Lisa Corbett. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Fri. Apr. 7 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there Sat. Apr. 8 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to Pittsboro Christian Church. Burial will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
