Lloyd L. Downing
92, formally of Brownsburg, IN, passed away on January 6, 2012 in Tampa, FL. He was employed for 35 years at Allisons, Division of General Motors, retiring in 1974. Lloyd was born in Putnam Co. on Dec. 6, 1919 to Roy and Ruth Downing. He was a member of the Sarasota Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Good Downing in 2004. Survivors include his daughters, Judy DuBose of Tampa FL and Janet (Gary) Gordon of Brownsburg; grandchildren, Joni Hatch, Michael and Josh Gordon; 5 great grandchildren, Alex and Garrett Hatch, Audrey, Luke, and Georgia Gordon. A memorial service was held at the home of Michael and Joni Hatch in Tampa, FL on January 8, 2012. Memorial contributions may be made to Sarasota Christian Church, 2923 Ashton Rd., Sarasota, FL 34231.
