Obituary

Lois Marvelle McClain-Robichaud, 81, of Brownsburg, passed away on January 30, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Marvelle was born on October 19, 1940 in Indianapolis Indiana, graduated from North Central High School and attended Indiana University.
Marvelle worked 30 years in mental health, retiring from Cummins Mental Health in Brownsburg in 1997. She worked 10 years as a parish secretary at St. Monica Church in Indianapolis and St. Agnes Church in Brown County. Marvelle was member of St. Malachy Church in Brownsburg, Benedictine Oblate of Our Lady of Grace Monastery, member of Women's Guild, wedding coordinator and eucharistic minister at St. Agnes Church. Marvelle was a former President of Siote Sorority and she served on the board of Tummies Minds and Spirits. Marvelle loved her family, friends and pets with a passion and wants to be remembered as a "woman of faith."
Marvelle was preceded in death by her parents Paul E McClain, Vera E (John) Relford-Workman and sister Joyce Workman. On November 26, 1959, she married Walter J. Robichaud in Indianapolis and together raised three children. She is survived by Walter J. Robichaud (her husband of 62 years); brother Dale McClain of Indianapolis; sisters Rita Bamford of Darby, Montana and Johnna Workman- Beeler of Arcadia, Florida; son Terry (Donna) Robichaud of Denver, North Carolina; daughters Rochelle (Paul) Hankins of Brownsburg and Renee Whitaker of Brown County; grandchildren Mindy (Doug) Robichaud-McClure, Kevin (Taylor) Forrest, Samantha Robichaud, Anthony (Will) Forrest, Hunter Bamford, and Michala Marvelle (Tony) Bamford-Chesmore; great grandchildren Frankie Marvelle and Freya Chesmore.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, February 4, at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg, Indiana. Funeral services will be livestreamed at www.stmalachy.org
