Lola Darlene (Kaiser) McWilliams
Darlene, age 86, Brownsburg, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2022 while on vacation in Green Bay, WI enjoying an outdoor concert with her daughter and family. Darlene lived her life in service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on June 19, 1936, in Indianapolis, Indiana she lived most of her life in Hendricks County. She graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1954. For her entire life, Darlene attended Mount Tabor Primitive Baptist Church in Fayette, Indiana where she met and later married Elder Donald R. McWilliams on October 26, 1954. He preceded her in death on October 26, 2012. Darlene is survived by her sister Nancy (Charlie) Thompson, her brother Keith (Reta) Kaiser, her sister Debi Kaiser (Greg Cowan), her sister Mary "Sis" Kaiser, her two daughters, Beckie (Tony) Johnson and Donna (Phil) Johns, four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly. She was the daughter of Calvin and Dorothy (Johnson) Kaiser, both deceased. She was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Bohall and Louise Dailey.
Darlene enjoyed her years working for Urology of Indiana and later St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Darlene will be remembered for her servant's heart; volunteering faithfully over the years for her church, serving the homeless, volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House and at Hope Lodge. She served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Primitive Baptist Central States Bible Conference for countless years. Recently Darlene had been an active volunteer for BOAA (Brownsburg Older Adult Alliance). Darlene read, loved, and believed her Bible. She enjoyed a good western, crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, traveling with her husband Don and later with her dear friend Sandy Tolle, leading her neighborhood Bible study, and playing Rummikub (her rules!).
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 1st at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg from 4-7 pm. Services will take place Tuesday, August 2nd at 10 am at Matthews Mortuary with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Elder Mike McGrady will officiate. Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery, Pittsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to Mount Tabor Primitive Baptist Church, c/o Sandy Tolle, 7895 N. State Road 267, Brownsburg, IN 46112.
