Lovise "Love" Mitchell, loving wife of Thomas P. Mitchell, passed into heaven on Oct. 14, 2014. She was born on August 23, 1923 to Lon and Ella Webb of Edmondson County, Kentucky. Lovise was preceded in death by her daughter Vicki Lynn Turner. She is survived by daughter Linda Jenell George, son-in-law Gary George, grandchildren Laurie and Michael George, great grandsons Brandon George and Michael George, and a great, great granddaughter Riley George. Lovise is also survived by two sisters, Janie Johnson (Louisville, KY) and Nelda Brooks (Brownsville, KY). Lovise retired from two separate careers in Louisville, KY., one as a Beauty Consultant for Merle Norman Cosmetics and then as a Sales Representative for Bacon's Department Store. She was a member of South Watterson Trail Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was loving referred to as "Mrs. Applebee". While "Mother" will be dearly missed by her family, we feel very blessed to have had her these 91 years. A Celebration of Lovise's Life will be conducted Saturday, October 18, 2014 at noon in Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
