Obituary

Lowell E. Jackson

81, Avon, passed away after a long illness, May 18, 2022. He was a US Air Force veteran serving from 1959 to 1963. After moving to Indianapolis, he became Regional Director of the Mental Health Association in Indiana and retired from the State of Indiana as the Quality Control Manager for the Department of Environmental Management. He worked tirelessly in the community as a volunteer and was a life-time member of the American Legion.

His parents Watson and Mary Ellen Jackson preceded him in death. He is survived by Annabelle Jackson and their children Caroline Jackson (Skip) and Elizabeth Nelson (Chad); brother Thomas Jackson (Janice); sisters Rose Brown and Peggy Klepfer; grandchildren Meghan, Ryan, Vanessa, Laura, Meredith, Connor (Larissa) and Matthew; many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Memorial visitation will be Thursday, June 2 nd from 4-6 pm at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Procession from Matthews Mortuary to the graveside will be on Friday, June 3 rd at 9:30 am followed by graveside service and inurnment at 10 am at the St Malachy West Cemetery, Pittsboro.
