Marguerite R. Brown

Marguerite, known to all as Rita, was called home on December 4th at the age of 93, to be with her Lord and Savior and all her loved ones who went before.  Born to John and Marguerite Redmond on October 6th, 1931, Rita's faith and family were the foundation of her life.  Rita was one of eight children who were raised in the Little Flower parish of Indianapolis.  In 1954 Rita married Gene Brown and together they raised three children.  Rita's family will forever remember her love for them.  She was a small group leader at Connection Pointe Christian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Gene, son Michael, her parents, brothers John, Robert and David and sister Alice.  Rita leaves to cherish her memory daughters Connie and Debbie, granddaughter Danielle, grandson Anthony (Kaleigh) and great-grandson Teddy.  She is also survived by brothers Paul, Thomas and Richard and their wives as well as many nieces and nephews and close friends.  A visitation from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by funeral service, will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Matthews Mortuary, located at 690 East 56th St., Brownsburg, Indiana.  Graveside services will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens, located at 6851 S. Indianapolis Rd., Whitestown, Indiana.  In lieu of flowers, Rita requested that donations be made to Wheeler Mission at www.wheelermission.org a charity close to her heart.
