Marilyn Aukerman French
82, Brownsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sat., Jan. 21, 2012. She worked as a third grade school teacher for Brownsburg Community School Corp. She also taught elementary school in Auburn and Orleans, Indiana and was a high school teacher in Economy and Newport, Indiana. She received degrees from Miami of Ohio and Indiana University. She was an active member of Plainfield Christian Church and was involved in the church's Golden Globes senior group, Memorial contributions may be made to Plainfield Christian Church. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held at Plainfield Christian Church, Wed., Jan. 25, 2012 at 11:00 am. Calling will be 3-7pm, Tues., Jan. 24 at Matthews Mortuary, Inc., Brownsburg, Indiana. Additional calling one hour prior to service at the church. Entombment will be held in the West Ridge Park Cemetery, . She was preceded in death by brother Emerson Aukerman, and sister Dorothy Jane Kiracofe . Surviving are Son Gary French, Daughters; Becky Helding, Deanna French, and Cheryl Wilkerson; 6 Brothers; Malcolm, Donald, Jerry, Norman, Marvin, and Glen Aukerman. Sister Rose Marie Gunsales. 13 Grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Paul, and Kristi French, Leonard, Hilary, and Christina Helding, Madina Rose French, Brittany, Nate, Allison, Matthew, and Elena Wilkerson, 2 Great Grandchildren.
