Marjorie Fay Dingman Pierce, 97, Danville, passed away August 23, 2016. She was born on March 12, 1919 in Colon, Michigan to Lou and Lucy (Gregg) Dingman. Marge married James K. Pierce on March 23, 1946. Jim preceded her death on June 14, 1995. Marge graduated from Colon High School in 1937. She continued her education in Indianapolis, attending a business school. She worked for Indiana Bell a number of years prior to her marriage and moving to Brownsburg. She also worked for the Brownsburg Community School Corporation for many years before retiring. After retirement, Jim and Marge farmed together. They also enjoyed fishing, auto racing and sports. She loved watching baseball. Marge was preceded in death by brothers Wesley, Earl and William Dingman; sisters Dorothy (Audley) Nichols, Mona (Andrew) Westendorf, Betty (Rex) Simpkins and Letha "Sammy" Decker, an infant sister, 7 nieces and 9 nephews. Marge is survived by many nieces and nephews, friend Karen Hogan, her friends from Ivy Trace Assisted Living and many other friends. Visitation will be held at Connection Pointe Christian Church from 9-11 am Fri. Aug. 26, 2016. Burial and Graveside services will be at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington, Indiana.
