Mark Robert Bone 60, Fillmore, passed away May 25, 2024 surrounded by family. He was born to John Bone and Carol (Oldfield) Bone on June 25, 1963 in Marion, Indiana. Mark married the love of his life, Sharon (Martz) Bone on July 28, 2005. He was a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather ('Pops'), and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his wife, Sharon Bone; and his children, Kevin (Courtney) Bone, Elizabeth (Damian) Beesley, Chris (Nellys) Bone, and Shane Dunn; his father, John Bone; his brother, Brad (Staci) Bone; his grandchildren; and many dear family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Bone.

Mark and Sharon lived in Fillmore, Indiana, where he enjoyed the tranquility of Heritage Lake. An avid fisherman, he loved nothing more than spending time on his boat, surrounded by his family and the natural beauty of the lake. His love for his wife was unparalleled, and his passion for life was evident in all he did.

Mark spent the majority of his career in construction engineering but found his most fulfilling role when assisting the Culinary Arts Program at Area 30 Career Center in Greencastle, IN. He was an amazing cook, a skill he was proud to pass on to his students, kids, and grandkids. His passion for cooking was matched only by his humor and determination, traits that defined his character.

Mark's legacy will live on through all of the lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the love he shared. He will forever be remembered for his passion, his strength, and his unwavering love for his family.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all who surrounded Mark and Sharon with love, especially Mike and Gayle Martz, David and Suzie Martz, Courtney Otero, Lauren Day, Lora Busch, Marcia Murtagh, Ellen Scott, Mary McMurray, and the entire Area 30 Career Center staff.

A celebration of Mark's life will be held at a later date with details to follow.  In lieu of flowers to the family, we would suggest donations be made to the Area 30 Culinary Arts Program.
