Mark Roscoe McClure, 61, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, in the comfort of his home in Brownsburg. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Connie (Collins) McClure; his daughter, Missy Myers, and son-in-law, Doug Boris; his son, Mark R. McClure II, and daughter-in-law, Candice McClure; 4 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braxton, Brooke, and Bristol; brothers, Steve McClure (wife, Sherry), Matt McClure (wife, Christina); sisters, Cindy Childs, and Ginny Vornholt (husband, Jerry); aunt, Jessie Brooks; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mark was preceded in death by brother, Ronnie McClure; mother, Patricia (Plunkett) McClure; and father, Oscar Roscoe McClure. Mark was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 14, 1956, to Patricia and Oscar McClure. His family moved to Danville, Indiana, his 9th grade year, and he graduated from Danville High School in 1974. He then attended Ivy Tech. Having always shown interest in building, he started a career in construction. Mark later started his own construction company in 1978. In 1977, Mark started dating Connie Collins, after meeting her when she was babysitting his nieces. That Twinkie truck he picked her up in for their first date must have really won her over, as they would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary next Sunday, November 26. Over the past year, Mark has said numerous times that he lived a good life, and that he "had a lot of fun in 61 years." Sometimes, a little too much fun! Most stories about Mark from family and friends involve some kind of mischief or shenanigans, and then somehow talking his way OUT of trouble. Mark lived his life truly caring about others, and he always saw the good in people. He is often described as caring, compassionate, open-minded, and "just an all-around good guy". Funeral services will be held at Matthews Mortuary, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Visitation will be 1-3:00 p.m., with service at 3:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life reception will follow, at Bundy Lodge in Brownsburg. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance,
