Mark Lynn Petre, born on July 16, 1955, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2025, at the age of 69.

A Christian and a member of the Brownsburg Church of Christ, Mark lived his life guided by faith and the hope of Heaven. His steadfast belief in God was a source of strength and peace throughout his life's journey.

Mark was a talented engineer whose innovative spirit led to several patents that made a lasting impact in his field. His dedication to excellence extended beyond his professional achievements and into his personal passions. A skilled woodworker, Mark took great joy in crafting intricate pieces that reflected both creativity and precision. This passion also intertwined with his love of music, as he crafted his own instruments with care and artistry.

Mark is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois Darlene Petre, and their three children: Nicholas (Katina) Petre, Kayce Petre, and Cecily (Ben) Rehmet. He was also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren: Vinny Petre, Luke Petre, Alison Mills, Lincoln Rehmet, and Kailey Rehmet.

Mark's legacy of faith, ingenuity, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. May those who mourn find comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Visitation will be from 3-5pm Thursday January 9 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services at 5pm.
