Martha Jane Reed
93, Columbus, passed away on February 7, 2025.  Martha was a 1949 graduate of Pittsboro High School.  She lived for 25 years in Westport, IN where she and her husband owned Reed Jewelry store.  She was a charter member of South Decatur Baptist Church a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cocoa Florida where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.  She retired from Brevard County as secretary in the engineering department.  She was also a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church for many years and a member of Never Alone Bible Study.  She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Reed; son Donald Lee Reed and granddaughter Sarah.  Survivors include her daughters Janis Reed, Barbara (Joe) Spicer; grandchildren Amanda, Melissa, Alison and Leah; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm Friday February 14, 2025 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 1pm.  Burial will be in Lizton K of P Cemetery.
