Obituary

Marvin K. Cassity

92, of Brownsburg, passed away on August 9th, 2026. Marvin was born in Danville, Indiana to his parents Arlie and Thelma Cassity on December 28th, 1933. He went on to work as a trusted salesman and accountant, eventually beginning his own business. American Business Forms was created in 1976, where Marvin took pride in his work until his deserved retirement in 2004. Marvin was a member of Plainfield Christian Church, as well as a former member of the Brownsburg Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, Marvin was an avid golfer who continued to enjoy the game very late into his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arlie and Thelma Cassity; first wife Carolyn Cassity; sister Imogene Mowrer; brother Morris Cassity. Marvin is survived by his wife Reta Cassity; daughters Janet (Larry) Keene, Peggy (Randy) Keene, and Sherri (Larry) Morris; grandchildren Jim (Maura) Fredwell, Katie (Dustin) Robinson, Cassity (Brandon) Fisher, Marcus (Katie) Fredwell, Nick (Maria) Keene, Erin (Patrick) Concannon, Jeffrey (Ashley) Sutter, Josh (Courtney) Sutter; great-grandchildren Shelby, CJ, Cami, Maddy, Carolyn, Aiden, Annaleigh, “Marshall” Dylan, Oliver, Tessa, Conner, and Diana; and step grandchildren April and KJ. Marvin was blessed with 2 step children that he loved as his own: Martha (Jack) Gill and Phil (Julie) Williams. He also embraced and loved his 10 step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 14th from 10 am to 12 noon at Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Rd, Plainfield IN 46168, with memorial services to follow at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diamond Willow Ministries at PO Box 438, Fort Thompson, SD 57339.
