Mary Ann Franco age 71, Pittsboro, IN (Ft. Pierce, FL) passed away July 26, 2012. She was a graduate of St. Agnes Academy. She received her BS in Nursing from Mt. St. Joseph's College and Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. Mary Ann then taught nursing at St. Vincent's Hospital, worked in a private physician's office and was a homemaker. She was also an active member of St. Malachy in Brownsburg and St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Ft. Pierce, FL. Mary Ann was past President of St. Malachy Board of Total Catholic Education, a Eucharistic minister, and has volunteered for several charitable organizations providing hours of service both in Indiana and in Florida. Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gerald Franco; children Maureen (Keith) Daehler, Lisa (David) Robison, Brian (Angi) Franco, and Mark (Jamie) Franco; grandchildren Kyle, Alayna, Brayden, Derek, Dylan, and Cyara Daehler; Rachel, Sarah, and Emily Robison; Connor Franco, Hannah and Hunter Heim; Van, and Lauren Franco. The family would like to thank St. Vincent Hospice in Indiana and Treasure Coast Hospice in Florida, as well as friends who have helped in the care of Mary Ann. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary Ann's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/indiana/ or the St. Malachy School Endowment. Visitation will be from 3-7pm Tues. July 31 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Wed. Aug. 1at St. Malachy Church.
