Mary Ellen Henry, 93, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025. Mary was born and raised in Watertown, Wisconsin. She was the eleventh of twelve children and remained close to her family throughout her life. She married the love of her life, James Henry on April 16, 1955 and they were blessed to celebrate 70 years of marriage this year.

Mary was a devoted member of St. Malachy Catholic Church and worked for over 30 years at the Indianapolis Stockyards.

Mary's greatest joy in life was her family. She had a deep passion and unwavering devotion to her loving husband and beloved daughter and she treasured every moment spent with them. She was "Nana" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was adored by them, always making time for a piggy back ride or playing dolls or cars when the children were young. She enjoyed gardening and playing games or cards. Mary also loved music. She learned to play piano by ear as a child and  enjoyed polka dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Peirick, and all 11 of her siblings; Leonard, Edward, Marcella, Norbert, Clarence, Raymond, Helen, William, Agnes, Lillian, Joanne.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, James Henry, and her devoted daughter, Jane (Doug) Jimison; grandchildren Rachel (Darren) Ganzel, Amanda (Doug) Humphrey, and Matthew Jimison; and great-grandchildren Addison, Sophia, Delaney, Quinn, and Liam.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg. A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg. Burial will take place at St. Malachy Cemetery, Brownsburg.
