Mary Rosalind (Beeson) Kinney
82, Brownsburg, passed away Jan. 21, 2014. She had been a teacher and elementary school administrator, serving schools in Springfield, OH, Cass County, IN, Elkhart, IN, and finally retiring from Danville Schools in 1988. She received her education at Columbia City High School, Manchester College (BA) and Butler University (MS). She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Brownsburg. Her husband of 47 years, Rev. Dr. Keith L. Kinney preceded her in death. She served as spouse of the mission pastor in the charter of two Lutheran congregations, Elkhart and Brownsburg. Survivors include daughter Kathy (Gary) Cooper; grandchildren Erin and Ryan Cooper. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Fri. Jan. 24 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services 12 noon Sat. Jan. 25 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Brownsburg. Graveside committal will be 11am Mon. Jan. 27 at South Park Cemetery, Columbia City, IN. Contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
