Obituary

Mary Louise (Poggemann) Osborn, went to be with our Lord on Feb.1, 2015 at her Brownsburg home. She was 84. Born Jan. 19, 1931 in St. Bernard, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Meiners) Poggemann. She went to St. Clements grade school and Our Lady of Angels High School in St. Bernard, Ohio. She married Edgar Lee Osborn, April 9, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio and in 1959 settled in the home where she passed on Feb. 1, 2015. Mrs. Osborn was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg. She helped in the school cafeteria in the early years, was a member of the St. Malachy Women's Bowling League for a good number of years and had belonged to the Ladies Card Club. She also enjoyed doing a wide variety of arts and crafts as well as an avid reader. A number of family and friends had received her hand-knitted or crochet items over the years. Survivors include her children Janet Osborn, Joseph (Clara) Osborn, Beverly (James) King, Robert (Juanita) Osborn, Brenda Osborn and Mary (Greg) Snell; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister Helen (Richard) Meyers, Kernersville, NC; 3 sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband Edgar Lee Osborn who passed in 1997; parents Joseph and Helen Poggemann; brother Joseph A. Poggemann. Funeral mass will be 11am Friday Feb. 6 at St. Malachy Catholic Church with visitation from 10-11am at the church. Interment will be in Brownsburg Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg.
