Michael R. Bartley
62, of Lizton, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on February 14, 2023, after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer. He graduated from ITT with an Associate's Degree in Drafting prior to working for the State Highway Department. Michael then started working for UPS as a package car driver before transferring to feeders and becoming a member of their Circle of Honor with 25 years of safe driving, retiring in 2022 after 43 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Malachy Catholic Church. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, he was a member of the NRA and registered in the Pope & Young Records Program. Michael is survived by his wife Joyce Bartley; daughter, Dr. Micaela (Bartley) Harrison and her husband, Dr. Kyle Harrison; mother Sandra Bartley; and sister Debra Strahl. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Bartley. Visitation will be from 2-5pm Sunday February 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Funeral mass will be at 10am Monday February 20 at St. Malachy Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Lizton K of P Cemetery.
