Obituary

Michael Wayne "Smiley" Bray

73, Brownsburg, passed away on October 29 after a brief battle with cancer.  He worked for General Motors Allison's for 32 years retiring in 2006.  After his retirement, he worked for Pools of Fun and helped his brothers and nephews on their family farm.  Mike was preceded in death by his father Robert Bray; parents Bernard and Jane Hession; wife Deborah Bray; step daughter Emily Bruner; sister-in-law Molly Hession.  Survivors include his loving wife Kathy Bray; daughters Heather Bray, Katie L'hote (David); step-daughter Amanda Zeunik (William); son-in-law Nathan Bruner.  He was the proud Papaw of Ethan Zeunik, Jackson Zeunik, Logan Bray, Jacob Franklin, Zoie Bruner, Blair Bruner, Addison McAllister.  Also surviving, his siblings Bernadette Davidson (Jesse), Kathleen Broderick (Harry), Anthony Hession (Tammy), Tim Hession, Matthew Hession (Debbie), Andrew Hession (Traci), Marijane Armbruster (Robert); brother-in-law Jim Waggoner (Becky); sister-in-law Susan Linder (Tom); several nieces and nephews and many friends.  Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Fri. Nov. 3 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg.  Funeral Mass will be at 10 am Sat. Nov. 4 at St. Malachy Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Brownsburg Cemetery.  Donations may be made to the Tri-West Girls Basketball Team, 7883 IN-39, Lizton, IN 46149 or to St. Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology, 200 Hill Dr., St. Meinrad, IN 47577.
