Michael Francis "Frank" King
84, Brownsburg, passed away July 28, 2022. A life-time resident of Hendricks County, he was a 1955 graduate of Brownsburg High School and a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church. He received his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute and his MBA from Indiana University. A veteran of the US Army he was honorably discharged in 1967 with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Frank worked at Allison Transmission as an engineer, retiring in 1987, and then worked as a physics instructor for Purdue University at IUPUI. Frank and his wife Jeane also raised bulldogs and donated the puppies for the Butler University mascot program. He was also a farmer and a football referee until retiring for good in 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Fanchon King, wife Mary Jeane King, son John King and brother Donald King. Frank is survived by son Thomas King; daughter-in-law Stephanie King; grandson Patrick King. Memorial services will be 10:30 am Saturday August 6 at St. Malachy Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Malachy Cemetery.
