Michael E. "Mike" Tate, 56, Brownsburg, passed away May 21, 2016. He was a mechanic and most recently employed by B&J Trucking. He previously worked with KDC in Indy, Schilli, Schafer, Transco and Whiteford National Lease. He loved to tinker in the garage, do small engine repair and was a big Indy race fan, going to the Indy 500 every year. He took great pride in his sons, enjoyed going to Sturgis and riding his Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Shirley Tate. Survivors include his wife Sheila Tate; sons Samson Tate and Owen Tate; brothers David (Pam) Tate and Frank (Connie) Tate; sister Debra Tate. Visitation will be from 4-6pm Wed. May 25 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice, 8450 N. Payne Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46268.
