Mildred I. George

91, Brownsburg, passed away August 17, 2022.  Mildred worked for 15 years for Brownsburg Community Schools, also at Memorial Baptist Church (now Hope Community church) and Cornerstone Christian Church.  Before that she had worked in Civil Service at Camp Gordon, GA, Ladoga Savings & Loan in Frankfort and Lumberman's Insurance in Indianapolis.  She enjoyed reading and traveling.  A member of Cornerstone Christian Church, she served in many ministries there.  Her husband Leroy George and daughter-in-law Trish George preceded her in death.  Also preceding her in death were her parents William and Pearl Cole and sisters Helen Quick, Maxine Whigham, Mary Bird, and Imogene Burress and brother James Cole.  Survivors include her children Pamela George, Bruce George, Brian (Suzanne) George and Paula (Jeff) Novak; grandchildren Amber Mallory (Curt), Jami Guy (Bobby), Brittanni George (John), Avery Nicholas (Michael), Cole Novak, Seth Novak, Josh George (Rachel), Brad Sharkey (Marie), and Brian C. George (Cheyanne); eight great grandchildren.  Visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Sat. August 20 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 noon.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
