Mildred M. Kingdon, 91, Danville, passed away March 15, 2016. A Registered Nurse, she graduated from Mennonite School of Nursing in Bloomington, Illinois. In the course of her career she worked at the IU Medical Center, Golden Manor Nursing Home in Brownsburg, and retired from Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors in 1991. In retirement she also worked for Hendricks County Senior Services in Danville as a fitness room attendant and aerobics instructor into her mid- 80s. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband Merlyn Kingdon. Survivors include her son Jeffrey Kingdon; grandchildren Jesse Kingdon and Jordan Kingdon; great granddaughter Ruby Louise; sister Ruby Allen. Memorial visitation will be from 10am to 12 noon Mon. March 28 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with memorial graveside services following at 12 noon in Brownsburg Cemetery.
