Mildred "Karol" Roark age 86, passed away December 14, 2011. She was born on July 1, 1925 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Lucille Harrington Brown and Raymond Brown. Karol was preceded in death by her husband Louis F. Roark, sisters Betty Dixon, Lucille Stotts, and brother Bill Brown. Surviving are her four children Kay (Bob) Keown, Dan (Sherry) Roark, Marty (Pat) Roark, Libby (Bruce) Johnston; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her twin sister, Kay Laird, and many nieces and nephews. Raised in Oklahoma, married toward the end of WWII in California, she raised her family in OK, TX, LA and Indiana; Karol also known as "Meme" to family, was a dancer both professionally with her twin sister Kay and recreationally with her husband Louie. She loved to play golf, bridge and was active in her community and church. Visitation will be 4 to 7pm Friday December 16 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Funeral Mass will be 10am Saturday December 17 at St. Malachy Catholic Church, Brownsburg, with burial to follow. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Malachy Church, 326 N.
