Morris R. Chastain, age 85, Indianapolis, passed away Aug. 2, 2014. He had worked at REA Express and then was a production worker for Chrysler Corp. and then worked for Simon Associates. A US Army Korean War veteran, he was a member of the VFW and Brownsburg American Legion. He was an outstanding senior at the English Avenue Boys Club. He was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth, Fred, and Paul Chastain. Survivors include his wife Helen Chastain; children Sandra (Ed) Burkley, Terri (Peter) Morrison, Mark (Leslie) Chastain, Michael (Susan) Chastain, and Paula (Stephan) Meyer; sisters Viola Thienes, Bonnie York, and Dollie (Raymond) Foland; brother Donald (Trina) Chastain; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 5pm Wed. Aug. 6 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation from 3-5pm.
