Muriel Sullivan Johnston passed away peacefully Feb. 25, 2011. Muriel was born Aug. 25, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in passing by parents John and Elsie Sullivan, and sister Margie Aita. Muriel was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by loving family and friends; husband David; daughters Janet Johnston and Nancy McKinney; son Dan Johnston; grandsons Dan (Lisa), Joe (Cori), David, Christopher, Kiel, Ritchie; and great grandson Zyon; sister Florence Buckhorn. Muriel and David would have been married 65 years on June 18th. Muriel was a longtime employee at Christ the King and Chatard High School. Muriel was a devout Catholic and appreciated the prayers and blessings from within Christ the King and St. Malachy Parishes. Funeral services will be 11am Thurs. March 3 at St. Malachy Church. Visitation will be 4-8pm Wed. March 2 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg. Family has requested a memorial contribution to The National Osteoporosis Foundation www.nof.org in lieu of flowers.
