Nancy M. (Kaiser) Thompson, age 85, of Pittsboro, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Nancy was born on January 1, 1938, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Calvin Edward and Dorothy Helen Kaiser. Nancy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Charles "Charlie" Thompson. They were married on November 6, 1959, at the Pittsboro Christian Church. Nancy and Charlie had two children, Deanna "Dee Dee" English (Steve) and Steven Thompson who survive. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Keith Kaiser (Reta), sisters, Debi Kaiser (Greg Cowan) and Mary "Sis" Kaiser, granddaughters Elise Seaburn (Nathan) and Elaine Schreiber (Adam), grandson Matthew Thompson (Caroline) and four great-granddaughters Morgan, Kara, Wren and Vera. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, sisters Darlene McWilliams, Dorothy Bohall and Louise Dailey, daughter-in-law Melissa Thompson and grandson Michael Thompson.

Nancy spent most of her life in Pittsboro and graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1956. She attended the St. Vincent School of Nursing and graduated in 1959. She was a nurse in the family practice office of Dr. Malcolm Scamahorn, Pittsboro. Nancy was very active in the Pittsboro community and in her children's activities. She was a member of the Phi Beta Psi sorority. Nancy enjoyed playing bridge and golf for many years. In retirement, Charlie and Nancy enjoyed splitting their time between Indiana and Ft. Myers, Florida.

A visitation for Nancy will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, from 4-7 pm at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, at 2 pm at Matthews Mortuary with burial immediately following at Sparks Cemetery in Pittsboro, Indiana. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nancy's memory to the Phi Beta Psi Sorority, PO Box 14, Pittsboro, IN 46167 or the St. Vincent's School of Nursing Alumni Association, PO Box 68331, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
