Ned G. Weaver

85, Avon, passed away on August 4, 2024.  He was a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church and former Pittsboro Fire Department Chief.  Ned retired from National Starch as a services supervisor.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, and painting.  Ned loved horses and was an award winning whistler.  He sang, played drums and whistled with the Messengerettes Christian Trio as well as sang in a barber shop quartet in high school.  Ned was preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Beulah Weaver.  Survivors include his wife Mary Weaver; children Brad (Carol) Weaver, Dawn Wooden; sister Patricia Springer; step sister Shirley Boles; grandchildren Jacob (Andrea) Boles, Ben (Alicia) Weaver, Caitlin (Brian) Arvidson, Micah (Jody) Weaver; great grandchildren Hayden Higbie, Brooks and Emilia Weaver, Kathryn and Emily Boles, Calder and Eleanor Arvidson.  Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Thurs. Aug. 8 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 12 pm.  Burial will be in Sparks Cemetery, Pittsboro.
