Nicholas F. Tkachuk
82, of Brownsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on January 17, 2026.  Nicholas was born in Harrison, Pennsylvania to his parents Max and Helen Tkachuk on August 18, 1943. After high school, he went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Nicholas then worked for Indiana National Bank as Vice President of Banking for over 25 years. He was also a longtime member of the Brownsburg VFW and the American Legion.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his parents  Max and Helen Tkachuk, as well as his sister Penny. Nicholas is survived by his beloved wife Edna Tkachuk; his children Susan (Jim) Smock, Jay (Heather) Tkachuk, and Christopher Tkachuk; his cherished grandchildren Maya, Jacob, Breanna, Ellie, Katie, and Lennox; and the newest addition to the family, great-grandson Onyx.
A visitation will be held from 12 noon to 1 pm on Thursday, January 22 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services to follow at 1 pm. Nicholas will then be laid to rest in West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
