Obituary

Olga "Kay" Nardi passed away on March 22nd surrounded by family after a long illness. Kay was born in Decatur, Illinois, to Frances and Willard (Bill) Gibson. She graduated from Washington High School in 1960. That same year she married Ronald Nardi. They had two daughters and resided on the Westside of Indianapolis till moving to Hendricks County in 1975. Ronnie worked the nightshift at Allisons and Kay was an impeccable homemaker. The couple retired to Cape Coral, Florida in 1993. Kay volunteered at the local hospital and entertained family and friends in their beautiful dream home. It was a particular treat when she made "Kay's lasagna". During this time, she traveled to Indiana several times to be a big part of the lives of her children and grandchildren. Ron and Kay returned to Indiana in 2008 residing in Pittsboro where Kay participated in card clubs with her neighbors in Quail Creek and took a trip of a lifetime to Italy with her daughter, Kim. Kay is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald L. Nardi, daughters Rhonda (Barry) Conrad, and Kim Nardi; grandchildren, Sarah (Mikey), Lydia (Tristan) and Bryce Conrad; sister, Debbie (Randy) Goldner; several beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg from 1-3pm Thursday March 25 with a memorial service at 3pm. A private burial and luncheon will be scheduled at another time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org
