Ona Naoma Whisler
Brownsburg, was born Nov. 28, 1925 in Silverton, Kansas. She left her earthly home on Friday Feb. 11, 2011. Ona was married to Dick Whisler on Dec. 31, 1943. Her loving husband preceded her to their heavenly home. Ona spent her entire life in the service of her family, her friends, her church, and all with whom she came in contact. Her willingness to give of herself, with no return expectations, endeared her to all who knew her. Ona was a faithful member of Connection Pointe Christian Church in Brownsburg. She is survived by two sons, Stephen Michael and James Russell; three granddaughters Shannon Whisler, Ona Whisler, and Nikki Johnson; one grandson, Adam Whisler; two great granddaughters and five great grandsons. A going home celebration of Ona's life will take place at 1pm Mon. Feb. 14 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with visitation there from 11am-1pm. Burial will be at Brownsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roland Manor of Brownsburg or Brownsburg Health and Rehab.
