Pamela K.
Gross
November 2, 1948 – April 2, 2025
Pamela K. Gross, born on November 2, 1948, passed away on April 2, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Pam shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Jack Gross, for nearly 57 years after they wed on May 11, 1968. Pam met Jack at Lafayette Heights Church of Christ before joining Trader's Point Church of Christ in 1974 where they were members for over 50 years. She met some of her very best and dearest friends there over the years.
Together they raised two daughters, Carrie Elkins (Danny) and Jody Todd (Troy), who brought immense joy to her life. Pam was also a proud Mimi to five grandchildren: Dane Elkins, Carter Elkins, Truman Todd, Anabelle Todd, and Laney Todd.
For two decades, Pam worked as a travel director for American Trans Air and for Grueninger Travel —a role that perfectly suited her adventurous spirit. Her passion for exploration took her across the globe on countless journeys. Whether hiking through scenic landscapes or setting sail on cruises to far-off destinations, she embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and curiosity. She was known for always having her suitcase ready and a new destination in mind.
When not on a trip she could be found with Jack at their farm or with her grandkids at a sporting event or spoiling them on a "Mimi's day out". She loved her family and was happiest when she was surrounded by them.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Pam is survived by her husband, Jack, and her daughters, Carrie and Jody. She is also survived by her sisters Connie Jane Newland, Gayle Tidd and Shelley Farmer. She was preceded in death by her mother Jewell Hill, father Robert Hill, sister Diana Carroll and mother in law, Lillian Gross. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Tuesday, April 8th at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 6 pm.
