Patricia (Pat) Ann Koontz passed away peacefully June 26, 2023. Patricia was born March 17, 1933 to the late Edna and Leo Bahr. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Roy Koontz Jr. She is also preceded in death by her 2 siblings, John Bahr and Mary McClung.

Pat was the true Matriarch of the Koontz Family. She is survived by her 7 children; Janet O'Connor (Danny), Marjorie Wilkinson, Carol Reinken (Paul), Susie Bates (Chris), Ruth Diaz (Tito), Keith (Lori), and Gary (Lynne).

Pat had 20 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She had a special bond with each and every one of them, aware of what they were doing, regardless of where they lived. She always had time and an ear available to listen whenever they called or stopped by to just chat or they needed advice. They loved and adored her.

Pat and Roy worked together to establish Koontz Custom Builders. The company flourished, building many custom homes in Hendricks County between 1970-1990. Many members of the family were involved with the company's success.

Pat was highly regarded by her family for her quick wit and knowledge. She was the crossword queen and could take on any of her grandkids in Words with Friends.

Pat enjoyed caring for animals. During her life she cared for many dogs, cats, horses, chickens, cows. Lucky were the animals that crossed her path, she gave them a wonderful home and lovingly nurtured them.

She was devout in her Catholic faith. She's with God, reunited with Dad and her many pets, listening to Willie. We will hold her tightly in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg on Thursday, June 29, 2023 with Mass to follow at St. Malachy Catholic Church at 1:00 pm.
