Patricia Catherine (Pat) Snyder

age 91, of Brownsburg, IN, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024.  She was born March 27, 1933, in Libertyville, IL, to Lester and Katharine (Mott) Kennedy.  She attended the Academy of Our Lady in Peoria, IL, and graduated in 1952.

Pat married Robert W. Snyder on January 3, 1953.  He preceded her in 1987.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John and Robert Kennedy, a sister, Mary Nelson, a daughter, Sharon Christian, two grandsons and one great grandson.

Pat is survived by her children, Theresa Love (Jack), Michael (Linda), Daniel (Diana), Timothy (Sherry) and Brian (Patty).  She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews.

She was employed at the Brownsburg License Branch for over 40 years.  She also worked many years at the Hilbert Circle Theater where she enjoyed the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and their many shows.

Pat enjoyed sewing, reading, a good book and being involved in the community.  She was a member of the Brownsburg American Legion Auxiliary.  She volunteered at the polls during election years.  Most of all, she was an avid sports fan of all sports.  She enjoyed watching the local teams and seeing her children and grandchildren compete.  She also loved to travel all over the US and to many locations overseas.

Pat has been a member of St. Malachy Parish in Brownsburg, IN, for close to 70 years.  She volunteered her time and gave her support to everything she possibly could.  She was a member of the Altar Society and the National Council of Catholic Women.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 pm Mon. Nov. 18 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with Funeral Mass following at St. Malachy Church at 12:30 pm.  Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery, Brownsburg.
