Obituary

Paul R. Kemp "Bob", 82, passed away peacefully at home on November 24, 2025. Bob was a member of the UAW Local 933 and the Brownsburg Charity Car Cruisers. He was a crib attendant for Allison Transmission for 30 years, retiring in 1992. Bob was preceded in death by his father Oral Kemp and mother Lois Hancock. Survivors include his loving wife Linda Kemp; daughter Julie (Bob) Allen; sons Bob (Kari) Kemp and James (Jillian) Kemp; Grandchildren Marcus (Jennifer) Allen, Kaela (Kelson) Camp, Abigail Dragon, Taylor (Jordan) Williamson, Jacob (Jenna) Kemp, Kevin Wells, Sophia Kemp, Collin Wells, Jude Kemp, 7 great-grandchildren, and sisters Linda Parsons and Dana England.

A life-long resident of Indianapolis, Bob was an avid Notre Dame fan who loved watching the Fighting Irish on television, especially with his sons and grandsons. He also regularly attended car shows and cruise-ins in the vicinity with his treasured muscle cars. His many trophies demonstrate his passion for cars and his spirit of excellence.

Bob loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and friends with just as much passion. Friends and family were central to his life and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm Tues. Dec. 2 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with a celebration of life service there at 2 pm.
