Paul V. Shaffer, 87, Pittsboro, passed away Nov. 17, 2015. He had been a carpenter at Methodist Hospital for 27 years. He was a member of Pittsboro United Methodist Church, Pittsboro American Legion, Pittsboro Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. His wife Virginia Shaffer preceded him in death. Survivors include children Paul J. (Jo) Shaffer, Ruth Ruble, Marlon (Luauna) Shaffer, and Timothy Shaffer; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-7pm Thurs. Nov. 19 at Matthews Mortuary, Brownsburg, with funeral services there at 10am Fri. Nov. 20. Burial will be in Washington Park North Cemetery.
