Peter (Pete) L Scalzi died in his home on July 25, 2016 in Brownsburg, IN from complications from liver cancer. He was 57.
Pete was born in Petilia Policastro, Italy to Rinaldo and Anna Scalzi. Upon graduation Pete entered the USAF. Pete was an aircraft mechanic and a DBA while serving a little over 20 years before retiring as a Tech Sergeant. After the military, Pete went into the I/T Industry. Pete was most known for working with youth from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where ever he lived. Pete DJ'd dances for the youth for more than 36 years. He served in many other capacities in the church, providing leadership development for youth spanning that time. Pete is survived by his wife, Cindy and their sons and daughters-in-law: Roger and Mindy,
Steven and Cassie, Aaron, Jared and Tina, Kenny and their grandchildren, Kason, Ava and Pietro Liam. A public visitation will take place on July 30, 2016 from 9-10:30 am with memorial services at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9710 W. 56th St, Indianapolis, IN 46112. Pete will be buried in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
