Phyllis I. Gaffney

88, Plainfield, passed away on July 5, 2025.  She was born July 17, 1936 in Rankin, Illinois.  She was a supervisor for Aircraft and Electronics in Avon for over 20 years. She also worked in the Wal Mart jewelry department after her retirement.  She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownsburg.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles Gaffney; son Rodney Gaffney; grandson Brian Gaffney; parents Elmer and Leota Kietzmann and 8 siblings.  Survivors include her children Douglas (Mary) Gaffney, Mark (Patty) Gaffney, Renae (Chris) Clark, James (Lorie) Gaffney; daughter-in-law Tammy Gaffney; sister Barbara Schroeder; brother-in-law Joe Gaffney, sisters-in-laws Marilyn Coon and Mary Ann  Gaffney, 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Memorial visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm Wed. July 16 at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 701 E. Tilden Dr., Brownsburg, IN 46112.  Memorial services will be there at 11 am Thurs. July 17, with visitation from 9am to 11am.
